International Week photo competition
Celebrate Culture Through the Lens
As part of International Week, the University of Edinburgh Business School invites you to showcase the rich diversity of our community through photography. This year, we're bringing everyone together around a single theme: capture a moment where your culture meets Edinburgh.
We're looking for artistic, striking images taken in Edinburgh that carry a cultural element - photographs that use light, composition, colour, and perspective to tell a story. Think about the places, objects, textures, and everyday moments that connect your background to your new home and show us Edinburgh through your eyes. Here are some ideas:
- Old Meets New — your cultural heritage framed against Edinburgh's architecture, streets, or landscapes.
- Colours of Culture — a striking use of colour that reflects your identity within the city.
- Light & Shadow — an atmospheric shot where a cultural element meets an Edinburgh setting.
- Patterns & Textures — traditional dress, craft, or detail set against the textures of the city.
- Finding Belonging — a beautiful scene in Edinburgh that has come to feel like home.
Submit your photos to celebrate the stories that make our international community so vibrant. Winning entries will be made into postcards and displayed during the International Week, with prizes for the top submissions. Let's come together to celebrate our diverse backgrounds and shared connections!
